The Very First Post

I'm Patricia. I took Taekwon-Do with the Las Vegas Taekwon-Do Club for 4 1/2 years, and besides my family, has become the best thing in my life. I won the Most Outstanding Student Award both years I was eligible to win it, and then I won the Best Black Belt of the Year Award after I got my 1st dan. I have two Best Attendance awards, two Best Sparring awards, and one Best Patterns Award. I won gold in pattern competition and silver in sparring competition in the 2010 Taekwon-Do National Championships. But enough of that- it sounds like bragging, and I don't like doing that. But it is needless to say that I love Taekwon-Do! Of course, I'm not at all perfect- I'm still working on my technique, snap, power, and speed. And I desperately need to stop turning my head when I spar! My Taekwon-Do journey in Las Vegas was going well. And then... I moved!

Now I'm going to start a new journey here at my new home. I'm starting Taekwon-Do at a new do-jang, with new instructors and fellow students and a different class set-up! What will chapter two of my Taekwon-Do journey look like? I also would like to take lacrosse, and I'm training with my lacrosse stick; catching, throwing, passing and the hardest: scooping the ball up off the ground! I hope to play on a team someday!

The reason I am starting this blog is because I was a (the only) poster on the Las Vegas Taekwon-Do Club Blog. I loved posting there, and I wrote about my previous Taekwon-Do adventures there. But I am not a student there anymore, so I should stop now. Now, I'll start fresh- a new blog to go with a new do-jang, for my new beginning in a new place. What will happen to me now? So begins... Kicks & Sticks.
